Sarutobi Asuma was a Jōnin-level shinobi from Konohagakure, the Hidden Leaf Village. He was the son of the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, and uncle to Konohamaru.
Asuma served as the leader of Team 10, composed of Nara Shikamaru, Akimichi Choji, and Yamanaka Ino. He was deeply dedicated to his students and fostered their unique skills, guiding them towards becoming a formidable and well-balanced team.
Known for his Wind Release chakra nature, Asuma utilized special trench knives imbued with his chakra, enhancing their cutting power. He was a skilled taijutsu user and often employed "Ashes Burning" as a ninjutsu technique.
